The Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa is the fourth Hilton Group hotel in the Maldives, following the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, and SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection. The resort opened in July 2022 and can currently be booked until the end of May 2025 for 110,000 Hilton Honors points per night on most days. With regular prices ranging from approximately $1,000 to $1,500 per night, Hilton points purchasers can achieve discounts of up to 70%.

About the Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa

Prior to the opening of the Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa in July 2022, Hilton already had three brands represented in the Maldives: Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, and SAii Lagoon Maldives (Curio Collection). Now, Hilton fans can choose from four Hilton Group hotels in the Maldives.

Located on the eponymous island in the Male Atoll, the Hilton Maldives Amingiri is just a 15 to 20-minute speedboat ride from Velana International Airport in Male. This makes it significantly faster and easier to reach compared to the Conrad, which requires a seaplane flight from the main airport in Male. However, the shorter travel time also means less seclusion. The resort features 109 beach and overwater villas, each with a private pool, and offers six different restaurants and bars. You can get a detailed look at the hotel on the Hilton website.

Booking Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa with Points

Hilton’s Maldives hotels are in the highest points categories of the Hilton Honors program. The Waldorf Astoria requires 150,000 points per night, making it the most expensive Hilton points hotel worldwide. The Conrad is also in the top tier at 120,000 points per night. Only the SAii Lagoon Maldives is slightly cheaper at 85,000 points. The Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa requires 110,000 Hilton Honors points per night for a One Bedroom Beach Pool Villa.

Currently, availability is excellent. Except for holidays and a few blocks in the first quarter of 2025, the hotel can be booked for 110,000 points per night from June 2024 to May 2025.

Is the Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa a Good Deal?

For those familiar with the value of Hilton Honors points and the top 10 Hilton hotels worldwide, the Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa is one of the best redemption options. While other hotels typically offer a value of about 0.5 cents per point, values over 1 cent per point are possible at the Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa due to its high regular price. Often, nightly rates range from $1,000 to $1,500. With a points price of 110,000 points, the value is around 0.9 to 1.4 cents per point.

Considering the Hilton Honors 5th Night Free Award, which is available to Hilton Honors status holders (immediate Gold status with the Hilton Honors credit card), booking five nights gives you the fifth night free. Thus, for a five-night stay costing 440,000 points (4 x 110,000), the value per point increases to 1.1 to 1.7 cents, assuming a nightly rate of $1,000 to $1,500.

Hilton is regularly selling points at a 100% discount

Experienced Hilton Honors members know that points can be purchased several times a year for as low as 0.5 cents per point. This makes it possible to book stays at the Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa for an effective rate of about $440 per night (for a five-night stay totaling 440,000 points). Compared to the regular price, this represents a discount of up to 70%.

Conclusion

The new Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa, like the Conrad Maldives and Waldorf Astoria Maldives, exemplifies how ultra-luxurious hotels can be booked with points at a fraction of the regular price. While $440 per night is still a significant expense, it can be considered a bargain compared to the regular rates of $1,000 to $1,500 per night.
