But this resort is located on Miyako Island, part of the city of Miyakojima in Okinawa Prefecture—a region famed for its crystal-clear waters and white-sand beaches.

To reach the property, you’ll want to fly into Miyakojima Airport (MMY), which has frequent flights from Tokyo, Osaka, and other Japanese cities. With Tokyo Haneda just over 1,100 miles away, the flight takes around 2.5 hours. From the airport, it’s about a 20-minute drive to the resort.

The Rosewood Miyakojima is a 55-key beachfront resort located on a secluded peninsula, surrounded on three sides by dramatic coastlines and turquoise waters teeming with coral reefs and sea turtles.
