Raffles hotel to expand to Jaipur, India
Recently, the French hotel chain Accor announced the opening of the Raffles Jaipur, a new luxury hotel that brings sophisticated elegance and French glamour to the Pink City in a palace-like setting.
This is Raffles' second major opening in India, following the launch of Raffles Udaipur in 2021. Like its predecessor, Raffles Jaipur pays homage to the royal lifestyle in India. Surrounded by the Aravalli mountains, guests can enjoy a regal stay, immersing themselves in the country's history, beauty, and culture. The hotel offers stylish accommodations and culinary delights, detailed in our article.
50 Rooms & Suites with Pools
Jaipur, the capital of the Indian state of Rajasthan, is also known as the Pink City. This nickname dates back to 1876 when Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh had the city's buildings painted pink to honor the Prince of Wales, as pink symbolized hospitality. This tradition has been maintained, and today, many of Jaipur's historic buildings and walls are painted in various shades of pink, giving the city its unique and distinctive appearance.

Recently, Raffles Jaipur opened its doors, welcoming guests into a modern palace replica that leaves no royal wish unfulfilled. A notable feature of the hotel is its architecture, carved from white marble as a tribute to Rajasthani craftsmanship. The traditions and techniques of Mughal and Rajputana architecture are combined with elegant and modern design elements. Each of the 50 rooms and suites is uniquely designed, with balconies, plunge pools, or whirlpools. Golden murals, Jaipur furniture, artifacts, and handwoven carpets adorn the interiors.

All-Day Indian Flavors
India is known for its rich culture and excellent, diverse cuisine with unique flavors. At the Arkaa, you can enjoy dishes from the northern Indian region, inspired by the plant-based diet of the Zenana. Classic cocktails, like the Jaipur Sling, are served in the Writers Bar. The Jaipur Sling, an Indian version of the Singapore Sling invented at Raffles Singapore in 1915, consists of orange liqueur, local herbal liqueur, pineapple juice, lime, bitters, and Indian dry gin, with a pink hue to match the Pink City.
