Ritz-Carlton’s newest property is now accepting reservations, and we believe it will catch the attention of many Marriott Bonvoy members.

Bangkok is renowned as one of the world’s top luxury hotel markets, known for its vast selection of properties, high-quality offerings, and excellent value. Now, another prestigious hotel is joining the city’s collection: The Ritz-Carlton Bangkok. While Marriott’s website lists an opening date of November 2024, reservations are being accepted starting from January 6, 2025.

The Ritz-Carlton Bangkok is located in the One Bangkok development, on Wireless Road, adjacent to Lumpini Park. The hotel will occupy the first 25 floors of a 50-story building. As expected from a Ritz-Carlton in such a competitive market, the hotel will feature a range of amenities, including an outdoor pool, spa, 24/7 gym, and a club lounge. There will also be multiple dining options, including:

The property looks stunning, featuring cutting-edge design. Despite Marriott’s substantial presence in Bangkok, few hotels offer such a modern and stylish atmosphere, making this an exciting addition.

One potential downside is the limited Marriott Bonvoy elite perks at Ritz-Carlton properties. Elite members don’t receive complimentary breakfast or club lounge access, although Ritz-Carlton’s lounges are often exceptional in quality. Given the competitive hotel scene in Bangkok, there’s hope the hotel might introduce some extra benefits for elite members.

Rates & Points Requirements for Ritz-Carlton Bangkok

How much will a stay at the Ritz-Carlton Bangkok set you back? Nightly rates for base rooms currently range from approximately $460 to $620 per night. While this is on the higher side for Bangkok, promotions and offers may make it more accessible in the future.

For those booking with cash, we recommend doing so through the Marriott STARS program to take advantage of perks like complimentary breakfast, a $100 food and beverage credit, and potential room upgrades.

For Marriott Bonvoy points redemptions, nightly rates range from around 40,000 to 80,000 points per night for base rooms. However, as you can see below, in our example for February 2025, all the base award room nights seem to have been already picked. The remaining rates are hardly attractive over the cash rates.

Don’t forget that booking a stay of five nights or more through points redemptions gets you the fifth night free, which can lower the average cost per night by up to 20%.
