Hilton adds another 390 SLH property to the Hilton platform
Last month, the first three Small Luxury Hotels of the World were integrated into the Hilton Honors system – and now nearly 400 more have been added, allowing Hilton Honors members to earn or redeem points at some stunning hotels.
In recent months, Hilton enthusiasts have been patiently awaiting this day since the news broke that Hilton had snatched the Small Luxury Hotels portfolio from Hyatt, which many considered a significant loss for the World of Hyatt loyalty program.
According to a statement from Hilton, 390 SLH hotels and resorts have already joined Hilton Honors, with more expected to join as the partnership expands. This number is significantly higher than the approximately 100 originally expected to join. For Hilton Honors and its efforts to expand its luxury and lifestyle offerings, this is a major success.
I have previously stated some of the SLH properties I am most excited about. You can read more about it here.
Currently, Hilton Honors members, especially those with higher status, can expect a range of benefits for SLH stays booked through Hilton. These benefits include:
Member: Guaranteed member discount, free standard Wi-Fi, free late checkout, bottled water, and no resort fees on reward stays
Silver: 20% status bonus for bonus points, fifth free standard reward night, and all previous benefits
Gold: 80% status bonus, free breakfast (for two guests), upgrades upon availability, fifth free standard reward night, and all previous benefits
Diamond: 100% status bonus, free breakfast (for two guests), upgrades upon availability, fifth free standard reward night, and all previous benefits
Highlights of the newly integrated resorts include the Nobu Hotel Marbella, a relaxed beachfront resort featuring the world-famous restaurant in Marbella; the Nimb Hotel in Copenhagen, a Moorish-style palace overlooking the iconic Tivoli Gardens; and Hermitage Bay in Antigua, a beautiful all-inclusive resort where you can use Hilton Honors points for a vacation with all meals and drinks included.
Hilton's partnership with SLH is just one of several strategic partnerships and acquisitions aimed at expanding Hilton's reach. This year, the company also partnered with AutoCamp, an outdoor accommodations brand, to add Airstream trailers and luxury glamping to Hilton Honors. Additionally, it acquired Graduate Hotels, a collection of college-themed hotels around major universities, as well as a majority stake in NoMad Hotels.
