DEAL: Attractive Fares with LATAM from the US to South America from $265
LATAM, one of South America’s regional carriers, is offering reduced fares until the end of the year 2024 between the United States and several South American destinations, such as Sao Paulo, Medellin, Bogota, Quito or Santiago de Chile.
The promotion seems to be running until the end of this year.
Flights between Miami and Bogota, for example, start from just $265 return. You can see below an example I found at around $324 which is still a great deal.
How do the fares compare to other airlines?
There are somewhat comparable fares with Avianca and Spirit available, however the fare conditions might differ. LATAM, as well as the other two airlines, are using Airbus A320 planes. However, the seat pitch is the largest with LATAM (30 inches) over Avianca (29 inches) and Spirit (28 inches). For tall people like myself, an additional inch of leg space can make a big difference.
American Airlines is also serving this route, albeit at a usually higher cost (and still only a 30 inches pitch).
Tip: If you are in for an interesting 5th freedom flight, Miami and Bogota are also connected by Emirates flying a B777 on that route!
