The Rosewood Amsterdam is now accepting reservations for stays beginning June 1, 2025. This will be the brand’s first property in the Netherlands, complementing an already impressive European portfolio with properties in London, Madrid, Munich, Paris, Salzburg, Tuscany, and Vienna.

The 134-key Rosewood Amsterdam will be located along the Prinsengracht in the city’s historic canal district. The property will occupy the former Palace of Justice, a building rich in history, originally constructed in 1665. It served as the Palace of Justice for nearly 200 years and has undergone a remarkable transformation.

Some key details about the property are yet to be revealed, but it’s expected to feature an all-day dining restaurant, a lounge, a bar, and an Asaya Spa with an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and more.

Entry-level accommodations at the Rosewood Amsterdam will start at 35 square meters (377 square feet), while suites will begin at 53 square meters (570 square feet). Many rooms will also offer stunning canal views.

If the property delivers on expectations, it could very well become the city’s top address. Currently, the Waldorf Astoria is considered the best hotel in Amsterdam, but the Rosewood Amsterdam may rival its standing. Other noteworthy competitors include the Conservatorium Hotel, which is expected to be converted into a Mandarin Oriental, as well as several high-quality properties like the Pulitzer Amsterdam.

Rates & How to Book

What can travelers expect in terms of pricing? Luxury hotel rates have seen significant increases in recent years, particularly in major European cities.

The Rosewood Amsterdam’s rates currently start at approximately $860 (€800) per night. During peak summer months, base rooms can reach around $1,290 (€1,200) per night, which aligns with market expectations. As part of an opening offer, guests can receive a $110 (€100) property credit when booking a room or a $220 (€200) credit when booking a suite.
