I checked the award availability of the top 15 Hilton properties and… wow!

A while ago, I shared with you my analysis of the best points useage for Hilton properties across their high-end hotels. But before you get ready to pack your bags and head to the airport, we have to talk about award availability.

Check out my in-depth article about the best Hilton properties to use your points for

Unsurprisingly, given the high number of people looking to save big by using their points, as well as the limited number of hotel rooms for some of the most in-demand properties, award availability can be difficult to find.

I have good and bad news. The good news: Some of the properties on my top 15 list of Hilton hotels with the best CPP have wide-open availability. You can select almost any day of the year and you’ll be able to book a stay with points.

The bad news: Some other properties have barely any availabilities and it’s next to impossible to book an award stay without a serious commitment to watch any new award night releases closely.

The title might seem a bit attention-grabbing, but I was genuinely surprised by how significantly award night availability varies across Hilton’s top-value properties. Of course, I’m not suggesting that you should choose a property solely based on availability or points value—that wouldn’t make sense. However, I believe sharing my insights can help uncover some hidden gems within the Hilton portfolio.

I hope these findings inspire your future travels. And if they help you secure a stay at one of these properties, consider supporting my work! Now, let’s dive in!

Refresher: My top 15 Hilton properties as per average CPP

If you haven’t seen my article about this, you can find it here. Basically, I looked into all Conrad, Waldorf Astoria, LXR, and selected high-end SLH hotels to find out what your best points useage is - at least, if you are comparing it to the average nightly rate. In the article, I describe my approach in more depth, so if you have any questions about this, check it first. So here are the contenders:

Best Hilton properties by CPP

My approach to determine award availability

As with each of these articles, let me briefly describe what I did here. For each property, I selected a 1-night stay with a flexible date and with “Use Points” selected to see award availability for each day. I then noted down each day at which the hotel was offering an award night at the Standard Redemption Rate, starting from the beginning of November 2024 all the way until September of 2025.

Standard Award Redemptions for this property are at 130k points per night. Only 3 nights are available at this rate for this month (Source: Hilton)

As booking A 5-nights stay is very attractive with Hilton offering the 5th night for free, I also wanted to see how many 5-night periods are available. The way I determined this is by counting every unique segment of 5 nights with standard award redemption rate availability. If there are 6 days in a row available, I would count this as 2 unique 5-night segments.

How to read the results:

Hilton Honors award availability analysis (Source: UnmatchedVoyages.com)

Here is an example of what the results look like for each property, in this case the Decu Downtown, an SLH Hotel. You can find the year and month on top.

The colorful percentage values show the number of days a standard award night is available against the entire number of days per month. So the 48% in Dec 2024 means that 48% of days have an award availability ready. That translates to 15 days, which the second row shows (labeled “No. of award nights available:”).

The “No. of 5-night award periods available:” shows the number of unique 5-nights in a row segments, as described above.

Lastly, the greyed-out areas are where the hotel award calendar only showed “Sold Out” for every day of the month.

Two notable things about this analysis:

1. Sometimes, hotels have entire months blocked and marked as “Sold Out”. That can have a multitude of reasons, such as a major renovations or a big event in the area for which the hotel has made available no award bookings, as they anticipate to sell at high cash rates

The Inn at English Harbour, an SLH Hotel, has the entire January 2025 blocked out (Source: Hilton)

2. The Foxhill Manor, an SLH Hotel, does not offer ANY weekend award nights. For the entire period of multiple months I checked, there is not a single award night available.

To add to this analysis, I also put into the availabilities mix the Conrad Bora Bora Nui and the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. Both properties are very popular award properties so I thought it’d be good to have them in here. Before we dive into each property, let me give you a brief overview of the average availability over the entire time period:

Hilton Honors award availability analysis (Source: UnmatchedVoyages.com)

What a range! From 100% to 4%, we cover the entire spectrum. While I initially thought that more exotic and not-so-known properties might have more award availability (such as the Gangtey Lodge, an SLH Hotel in Bhutan), I was surprised to see such good availabilities with the Hilton properties in the Maldives (except the Waldorf Astoria there).

But without further ado, let’s look into each property specifically:

Conrad Maldives Rangali Island
Rangali Island, Maldives

Conrad Maldives Rangali Island (Source: Hilton)

The Conrad Maldives Rangali Island has surprisingly great award availability, with next to every day open for points booking. While not the best use of points as per CPP necessarily, it still usually is a great value, especially if you book a full 5-night segment. Do keep in mind that almost all Maldives properties will charge high prices for food and activities, as well as transportation to the hotel via seaplane or boat.

Conrad Bora Bora Nui
Bora Bora, French Polynesia

Conrad Bora Bora Nui (Source: Hilton)

The Conrad Bora Bora Nui is another property that is extremely popular and aspirational for points bookers. However, I was surprised to see that the availability is actually not as bad as I heard. One thing to note is that the property has very few 5-night segments, meaning that you will likely have to book shorter periods instead. Not great, as it takes quite a while to reach Bora Bora but you might be able to use cash rates to extend your stay.

Keemala, an SLH Hotel
Phuket, Thailand

Keemala, an SLH Hotel (Source: Hilton)

Hilton Honors award availability analysis (Source: UnmatchedVoyages.com)

The Keemala, an SLH Hotel is a property that seems to be flying a bit under the radar. Phuket certainly is not known for luxury island vacation as much as some of the other destinations in Thailand, like Koh Samui.

Nevertheless, this quirky and quite expensive property has availabilities for much of the upcoming year so if you are considering a trip to Phuket, it might be worth looking into the Keemala.

Decu Downtown, an SLH Hotel
Merida, Mexico

The Decu Downtown, an SLH Hotel is a really cool-looking property in Merida, Mexico. Award availabilities are generally quite good but the hotel seems to be closed from April to August 2025, so your options are a bit more limited.

The Inn at English Harbour, an SLH Hotel
English Harbour, Antigua & Barbuda

The Inn at English Harbour, an SLH Hotel is a small boutique hotel on the island of Antigua & Barbuda. Award availabilities are good for the months the hotel has not blocked out.

Foxhill Manor, an SLH Hotel
Broadway, United Kingdom

Foxhill Manor, an SLH Hotel (Source: Hilton)

Hilton Honors award availability analysis (Source: UnmatchedVoyages.com)

The Foxhill Manor, an SLH Hotel is a stately-looking mansion not too far from London. Prices can easily go above $1,000 per night, making usage of points a smart choice. While the general award availability is looking good, take note that this property does NOT offer any weekend award availabilities. That is why the 5-night award period counter looks so low - it only offers Monday - Friday as an option here.

Hilton Amingiri Maldives
Amingiri Island, Maldives

The Hilton Amingiri Maldives is a newly-opened property on a small island in the Maldives. It shows fantastic availabilities across all months, giving you a ton of flexibility to schedule your vacation. Do note that, as with most Maldives properties, there will be plenty of extra charges in the form of transportation and expensive food and activities.

Gangtey Lodge, an SLH Hotel
Gangtey Valley, Bhutan

Gangtey Lodge, an SLH Hotel (Source: Hilton)

Hilton Honors award availability analysis (Source: UnmatchedVoyages.com)

The Gangtey Lodge, an SLH Hotel looks like such a cool property and one that I would love to try out in the future. I am all the more happy to see such wide open award availability, as the cash rates can go up quite strongly. If you are looking for a more exotic luxury hotel in a still somewhat unexplored country, head to the Gangtey Lodge in Bhutan.

Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island
Platte Island, Seychelles

Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island (Source: Hilton)

Hilton Honors award availability analysis (Source: UnmatchedVoyages.com)

I was surprised to see this property having such good award availability and I am curious to see if it will stay like this. The Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island was opened not too long and looks stunning. Cash rates are high and thus a points booking might make sense. Do note that this property’s standard award room redemption gives you a “regular” room type, not a villa!

Qiushui Villa, an SLH Hotel
Hangzhou, China

Qiushui Villa, an SLH Hotel (Source: Hilton)

Hilton Honors award availability analysis (Source: UnmatchedVoyages.com)

Another great property in regard to availability, the Qiushui Villa, an SLH Hotel around Hangzhou looks like an interesting property. The renovated century-old villa is pretty small, so if you are looking for an intimate stay with a lot of history this might just be the hotel for you.

Katara Hills Doha, an LXR Hotels & Resorts
Doha, Qatar

Katara Hills Doha, an LXR Hotels & Resorts (Source: Hilton)

Hilton Honors award availability analysis (Source: UnmatchedVoyages.com)

While I’m not entirely surprised about the wide-open availability here given the property is a leisure hotel in Qatar, it is still somewhat surreal to see absolutely every month show full availability. While I wouldn’t personally travel to Qatar just for this property, it could be a cool place to stay if you are traveling on Qatar Airways and are considering a stopover in Doha.

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal
Los Cabos, Mexico

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal (Source: Hilton)

Hilton Honors award availability analysis (Source: UnmatchedVoyages.com)

The Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal has two factors that make its award availability close to zero: its popularity as a high-end property in a great leisure tourism destination and its proximity to the United States, with travelers there eager to use the points they accumulated from their credit cards. This might be one of the properties where a cash rate or a free night certificate might be your best choice.

Akyra Manor Chiang Mai, an SLH Hotel
Chiang Mai, Thailand

Akyra Manor Chiang Mai, an SLH Hotel (Source: Hilton)

Hilton Honors award availability analysis (Source: UnmatchedVoyages.com)

The Akyra Manor Chiang Mai, an SLH Hotel was not on my list when I started doing the analysis of the best hotels by cents-per-point. Nevertheless, the points price is surprisingly low for the cash rates the hotel commands. Unfortunately, while availability seems generally good, the hotel seems to be closed from April 2025 on, so you either have to be fast or patient.

Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi
Ithaafushi Atoll, Maldives

Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi (Source: Hilton)

Hilton Honors award availability analysis (Source: UnmatchedVoyages.com)

Commonly known as the most aspirational points booking you can make within the Hilton group, the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi unsurprisingly shows the lowest award availability. Despite its 150,000 points per night price tag, the hotel does not seem to have any award nights except for some last-minute travels in December. Your best bet likely is to wait until a new batch of award nights is released for 365 days out.

Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique
Punta Cacique, Costa Rica

Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique (Source: Hilton)

Hilton Honors award availability analysis (Source: UnmatchedVoyages.com)

The Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique is only accepting bookings from May 2025 on, thus the greyed out area until then. Award availability is surprisingly good, with the summer months showing up to 100% availability. Given that Costa Rica is not too far from the US, this might be a fantastic opportunity to book your summer 2025 trip!

Milaidhoo Maldives, an SLH Hotel
Milaidhoo, Maldives

Milaidhoo Maldives, an SLH Hotel (Source: Hilton)

Hilton Honors award availability analysis (Source: UnmatchedVoyages.com)

Another very aspirational property on the Maldives, the Milaidhoo Maldives, an SLH Hotel is showing slightly better availability than the Waldorf Astoria there. However, it seems next to impossible to find a 5-night segment for your award booking, so you might have to either have a shorter stay or extend your stay via free night certificates or cash.

Hermitage Bay, an SLH Hotel
Hermitage Bay, Antigua & Barbuda

Hermitage Bay, an SLH Hotel (Source: Hilton)

Hilton Honors award availability analysis (Source: UnmatchedVoyages.com)

The number 1 in my analysis of best usage of Hilton points is the Hermitage Bay, an SLH Hotel and I am quite surprised to see solid award availability if you book a bit farther out. Especially July and August 2025 would be your best bet to get a 5-night stay and save a considerable amount of cash over their cash rates.

That’s all from my side today. If you liked this article, feel free to leave a comment. Always appreciate you using my affiliate links to purchase Hilton points.
